Chatbot or hot or not?

Can a chatbot help you to find love?

Match.com seems to think so...  (or at least thinks they will get more users and make more money if chatbot "Lara" guides you through the creation of your dating profile...)

See the BBC's article: Can a chatbot help you find love?

On a related note... why are basically all of the chatbots (Eliza, Rose, Mitsuku, Lara, etc), and all the personal assistants (Alexa, and Siri, and Cortana, and ...) ALL FEMALE?   And is this indicative of problematic gender bias in the world of tech.?

See the BBC's article: Attractive, slavish and at your command: Is AI sexist?
